The 7th Annual African Economic Forum will be held at Columbia University on Friday, March 26 through Saturday March 27th. African Fashion Going Global, a panel which will be moderated by Africa Style Daily’s Zandile Blay (pictured above), will also feature Oluchi Onweagba, the Nigerian born supermodel of Victoria’s Secret fame. Discovered at the tender age of 17, she went on to become the “Face of Africa” and her career has since blossomed, catapulting her into mainstream fashion. She has been featured in prominent advertising campaigns for L’oreal Paris and Macy’s; and has also helped to found O.Model. Africa a modeling agency dedicated to promoting African models, giving them the opportunities and exposure.—Lynecia Burgess [Africa Style Daily]
