Kanye West gave a knockout performance at the Coachella Music Festival this past weekend, closing out the three day festival with a bang. And while his set—which he dedicated to his late mother, Donda West, who died in 2007—showcased his arsenal of hits, it was his Celine Spring 2011 blouse that made the true statement.

Kanye has publically expressed his affinity for the brand’s Creative Director Phoebe Philo, but we are glad that Yezzy didn’t go all the way and rock the matching pants.  Despite the fact that the top was made for a woman, we think he rocked it well…do you?

Centric loves male models (“Model City” ring a bell?), so this picture of new face Sasha M’baye has us swooning. Clad in a textured jacket, t-shirt, slim fit jeans and killer combat style boots; he was spotted outside of the Burberry Prorsum Fall/Winter 2011 show held at Kensington Gardens.

Sasha is being heralded for his feature in the London-based brands latest campaign alongside popular black female model Jourdan Dunn.

(New York, NY)-  Last night, notable black haircare brand Softsheen-Carson announced the gorgeous Bria Murphy (pictured above)—daughter of Eddie Murphy—as the new Beauty Brand Ambassador for Dark & Lovely. On hand to celebrate the young Murphy’s achievement were Tyson Beckford, Jennifer Williams and celebrity stylist Oscar James.

Milan- Season after season, one thing remains clear in fashion: Menswear changes minimally, so classics are always your best bet. This point was made clear by the end of Milan’s Men’s Fashion Week. (Philadelphia, PA) The City of Brotherly Love was a hotbed of humidity talent, as R&B funky divas EnVogue and Singer Lyfe Jennings took the stage to perform at the 4th Annual Global Fusion Festival. Held at Penn’s Landing, the multicultural festival featured ethnic dance performances, food, merchandise vendors, and of course a GREAT music. I managed a quick chat with headliner Lyfe Jennings about his upcoming album. Check out what he had to say:

TP: You are a unique brand of R&B.  How do you describe you music?

Lyfe: An information. New album is crazy, coming  out August 31st!

TP: You took a short hiatus, what were you up to?

Lyfe: The recording process was about two years. Over the period of time, I had a lot of stuff I was dealing with, and spending time with my kids. I have a recording studio in my house, so I was always recording.

TP: The new single, “Statistics” is an educational one for the ladies, what were you trying to teach?

Lyfe: I did a song called SEX, during that song, young ladies around 16 and 17 years old. They were changing and dealing with the different situations that they were experiencing, and now those same ladies are like 24 and 25. The song is teaching them not to make the same mistakes twice.

TP: We hear you plan on retiring after this album, what can we expect from you next?

Lyfe: I have a children’s book coming out soon. Also, I have a foundation down in Atlanta that I’m doing community service events for. I have a movie coming out called “Life and Love”. Of course the album.
