After starring in a string of hit movies—”Just Wright”, ”Terminator Salvation”, “American Gangster”—rapper cum actor Common, is now taking on the title of film producer.

The Chicago native will be producing and starring in “L.U.V.”, an independent feature that finds him playing an ex-convict who develops an unlikely bond with his introverted 13-year-old nephew.

There’s no exact date on when the film will be released.
