Duplaix is offering up this remix as a free download from X-mas day until January 31st, 2010, the same day as the much anticipated 52nd Annual Grammy® Awards Ceremony held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California (airing on CBS at 8:00 PM/EST/PT).

The Grammys will be a momentous occasion this year for Nicolay. As half of The Foreign Exchange (with Phonte), Nicolay is up for his first Grammy nod for “DayKeeper” off of “Leave It All Behind,” one of Soul Sessions Top Ten Best Producer/Compilation Projects of 2009. No stranger to Grammys, Philadelphia-born Vikter Duplaix was nominated in the same category in 2008 for Best Urban/Alternative Performance for “Make A Baby” from his second studio album “bold and beautiful.” It’s good to see two powerful music forces coming together to share their gifts with their respective fans for the holidays.

“It was important to me to share some holiday spirit with those who have supported me and my music throughout my career,” stated Duplaix, whose internationally known as a DJ and producer (Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, and the iconic Earth Wind and Fire). “Gifting Nicolay’s interpretation of my new single “Electric Love” will hopefully expose even more people to his tremendous talent.”

Vikter Duplaix is considered a tremendous talent in his own right, with three-critically acclaimed albums to his credit and sensual vocal performances on Jazzanova, King Britt, Masters at Work, DJ Jazzy Jeff and Roni Size. “Electric Love” is the debut single from Duplaix’s upcoming album, “Love Machine,” to be released in Spring 2010.

“I have been a fan of Vikter’s work for many years now, and I am thrilled that we’ve finally had an opportunity to work together.” the Dutch-born Nicolay shared recently from his adopted home in Wilmington, NC. “I hope this remix is only the beginning.”
