This summerMyspace Music and Budweiser have partnered up to give an undiscovered artist the chance of a lifetime: The opportunity to open up for Jill Scott, Anthony Hamilton and Mint Condition—all featured on Scott’s “Summer Block Party”/Budweiser Superfest tour. 12 local acts will receive $5000, to be awarded at local showcases; and one winner has the chance to walk away with the grand prize of  $25,000. So how do you apply?

1. Log on to www.myspace.com/budweiseropeningactto upload a video of you singing Brian McKnight’s “One Last Cry” or Chaka Khan’s “Sweet Thing”—acapella.

2. Myspace Editorial and local radio stations pick the top 10 artists to perform at a local showcase

3. One (1) local winner awarded $5,000 at 12 local Superfest Opening Act showcases

4. One (1) national winner awarded $25,000 after performance video being featured & voted on by the community at www.myspace.com/budweiseropeningact

The deadline for submissions is July 14! (July 28 for Atlanta/Houston and Dallas)
