Essence Holds ‘3rd Annual Black Women In Music’ Event In L.A.

(Los Angeles, CA) Essence Magazine turned the pre-Grammy event week up a notch, with their 3rd Annual Black Women in Music gala held last night at the Belasco Theater.

The event honored award winning and multi-platinum recording artist Kelly Rowland and veteran music executive Sylvia Rhone. Both ladies were chosen for their dynamic contributions to the world of music.

Celebrities in attendance included Rowland’s former Destiny’s Child bandmate, Michelle Williams; Ne-Yo, Ravaughn Brown, Melody Thornton, Ledisi, Kenny Lattimore, Rahsaan Patterson, Leon, Tamia, Eve, and MC Lyte.
