Dancer/singer/songwriter Lonny Bereal—who has worked with with the likes of Chris Brown and Jamie Foxx—teamed up with R&B’s current it- girl, Kelly Rowland, to release the video for his debut single, “Favor”.

Bereal served as a background dancer for Rowland and also worked on her sophomore album, Ms. Kelly.

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s Tank. After over a decade in the music game, its clear the singer/songwriter/producer is some sort of R&B superhero swooping in to studios and delivering hit records on a single bound. The Wisconsin native, has been able to inject his brand of music on to the masses through not only his albums, but the work of Aaliyah, Chris Brown, Keri Hilson, Joe and Jamie Foxx (Just to name drop a few). His standout singles, “Maybe I Deserved,” “One Man” and “Please Don’t Go,” have made him a favorite amongst the female set. If music buyers paid more attention to album inserts, we’d notice a resume that spans 10 years and credits that place him easily in the upper echelon of R&B artists.

Tank (born Durrell Babbs) has come a long way from his time singing backup for Ginuwine. His latest album “Now or Never”, shows he’s ready to show the world that musicality and heart pounding lyrics are still a part of R&B and he is willing to do whatever it takes to revive the genre’s integrity. As with most superheroes, Tank doesn’t need an audience to clap for his accomplishments behind the scenes. He’d much rather be celebrated for his own music.

The past couple of weeks have seen Jamie Foxx and Will.I.Am performing “Hot Wings (I Wanna Party)” off the soundtrack for the recently premiered animated feature film “Rio”. Both the Academy Award winning actor and the Black-Eyed Peas frontman’s voices are featured in the picture, but now ”Fly Love” a song sang by Foxx solo has surfaced and it’s definitely a kid-friendly departure from his sexy brand of R&B.

Somewhere in between flirting with the ladies and talking about why he doesn’t want to be married, Actor and R&B recording star Jamie Foxx talked about the release of his brand new album Best Night Of My Life.

Centric caught up with the Academy and Grammy Award winning entertainer for a private album playback session at the Samsung Experience in NYC’s illustrious Time Warner Building. The celebration was put together by our Digiwaxx Media family, J Records, Samsung and was hosted by Power 105’s favorite morning crew, The Breakfast Club.

While champagne and cocktails flowed throughout, Foxx opened up the the session with some music from the album while flat screens were playing his numerous music videos. Some of the tracks including “Hit It Like This,” “Living Better Now” feat. Rick Ross and “Fall For Your Type” feat. Drake; eluded to a different sound than we’re used to hearing. When asked if he liked music or acting more, the multi-talented personality revealed his passions were heavy for both.

The highlight of the night was a surprising visit from the legendary El Debarge, who ended up jamming with Foxx to some of his greatest hits. To seal the deal on the night the two danced their ways into the crowd while “Blame It” shook the entire building.
