quadron

Avant-Garde R&B duo Quadron  served up an impressive introduction earlier this year with their debut self-titled release.  Their debut video below delivers a sample of their quaint and subtle approach to smooth melodies and uniquely form fitting beats.  This video is surprisingly refreshing showcase of their Denmark roots and their knack for out of the ordinary performances.

UCLA JazzReggae Festival Artist Features: Quadron & Tha Boogie + Foreign Exchange Photos

Published by Fusicology on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at 4:39 pm.

The 2010 UCLA JazzReggae Festival was mind blowing. A breathtakingly beautiful day on campus and Fusicology and CentricTV were there in full force for the first day. The lineup included Raphael Saadiq & Tha Boogie, Q-Tip, Bilal, Georgia Anne Muldrow + Declaime and Quadron.

The infamous Anita Bryant gives us the insight on two featured artists we’re feeling right now along with videos, links and photos c/o Shawn Floyd

Quadron – Coco & Robin has put Denmark on the map for Soul Music…..

A refreshing soulful experience is what Quadron showcased at the 2010 UCLA JazzReggae Festival. This duo from Denmark gave an amazing live performance – sexy electronic soul with flawless vocals and beautiful music. Many people, including myself didn’t understand how they gained a US audience so quickly. This fairy tale story is a prime example that great music breaks all boundaries – and having the famous Anthony Valadez/KCRW and the internet on your side doesn’t hurt neither. — Anita Bryant

Tha Boogie

Akon introduced Lady Gaga – Kanye introduced Estelle…

And now Raphael Saadiq is bringing us Tha Boogie. Rock, Hip-Hop, Pop, Alternative Soul is only a few examples of what you will experience with Tha Boogie. Their energy level was above 100% during the whole live performance. They have studied their predecessors (Andre 3000, NERD, Janelle Monae, Bowie, Joan Jett) and are ready to make their own mark in this industry. They are musical risk-takers who are not afraid to experiment with sounds/styles/genres. They are currently working on their debut album that will be released before the end of 2010, and with Raphael Saadiq as their Executive Producer it will be worth the wait. — Anita Bryant
