A record heat wave in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn brings racial conflict to a head in the 1989 multi-award nominated “Do The Right Thing.” The controversial film set on a single street delves into the contempt, angst and rebellion of  the multi-ethnic neighborhood.  Spike Lee directed and stars in the film; alongside , Danny Aiello, Ruby Dee, Giancarlo Esposito, Bill Nunn, Martin Lawrence, Rosie Perez and the late Ossie Davis.
