A writer, art collector and vintage car enthusiast, Bryce Hairston Kennard is a native of Houston, Texas; and JONES magazine’s vice president of marketing and society editor. Kennard started withJONES magazine in 2007 with the debut of Bryce’s Block, a column that headlined the publication’s regional “Keeping Up With the Joneses” party and society section. With nearly a decade of experience in marketing, public relations, corporate communications and brand management, Kennard was tapped by JONES’ editor-in-chief, Tracey Ferguson, to serve as social editor because of his social charm and connections. His efforts as society editor have since grown to include creating branding opportunities and strategic marketing partnerships for the magazine.
Having interviewed personalities that range from Naomi Campbell to Dick Gregory, Kennard enjoys learning about people and what makes them tick. Kennard says he loves working at JONES because not only does he get to be in the company of stunning models and a gorgeous predominantly female staff, but also because JONES is interesting and different from other magazines on the market.
