Everyone’s favorite power couple were spotted hanging out on the balcony of their hotel in Perth, Australia over the weekend. The love birds are taking a break from Jay’s tour with U2 and trying to relax, but obviously the papparazzi gets them everywhere they go.

After Beyonce’s “I Am…World Tour” played a total of 108 shows, in 32 Countries on 6 Continents for 1.1 million screaming fans; the fierce one desrves a break. In case you didn’t get to see the show live, watch it tonight only on Centric.

On December 4th, Beyonce’s husband Jay-Z celebrated his 41st birthday in style. Beyonce gifted her man with the world’s most expensive automobile: a $2 million dollar  Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport. This automotive gem is powered by a 16.4-liter engine that produces 1,000 horsepower with a top speed of 253 mph and a 0-60 mph time of just 2.7 seconds.

No worries Bey stans, the gift didn’t leave a dent in the fierce one’s pocket. Forbes reported that Beyonce grossed $87 million last year, and Jay a whopping $450 million. So this couple’s expensive taste is well-earned. The Bugatti will be added to Jay’s already impressive car collection, including a Maybach 62S, Ferrari F430 Spider and a Pagani Zonda Roadster.

Maybe their styles are too similar? Maybe the fans wanted them to be at odds? Either way, Ciara and Keri Hilson wanted to dead all the rumors that they were beefing. So they did what anyone else would do in this digital world we live in–they jumped on Ustream together.

“Thank you guys for supporting us. Hopefully now our fans can support each other,” said Keri, while Ciara interjected, “Spread the love!” The drama between the two seemed to start after Keri’s remix to “Turnin’ Me On.” Fans thought Keri was trying to diss Ciara (and Beyonce) but according to Keri, there was no diss. Both ladies are tired of speaking on any false drama between the two of them in interviews.

Ciara said in the Ustream, “We’re women, supporting women, uplifting each other.” That’s a beautiful thing to be able to fully embrace your competition instead of hate on your competition. It’s no secret that Keri and Ciara are direct competition to one another, but Keri did hint to Angie Martinez in an interview that there’d be a collabo record between her and Ciara. Interesting.

Keri Hilson is no stranger to holding her own in an industry that is dominated by men. Her songs have always been full of the notion that she is in control of every aspect of her life—business and personal.  Hilson released a new single this week, “Still A Girl” and it has her singing to a slightly different tune.

The song—of which will be on Hilson’s forthcoming album, Breaking Point—explains the emotions most women feel when they’re trying not to be vulnerable with their lover. Hilson’s, “Still A Girl” has the tempo and emotion of Beyonce’s “If I Were A Boy” with the edgy elements like that of Ciara’s “Like A Boy”—making for a concept that isn’t that original.

If “Still A Girl” is the direction that Breaking Point is going, it will be interesting to see how things progress.

The past couple of weeks on Centric’s 20 to 1 Countdown have been extremely interesting. Musical rookies have managed to weasle their way onto the countdown and with great success have climbed to the top spots.  But one artist that shouldn’t be concerned with this new wave is singer/songwriter Ne-YO.

Since releasing his 2006 debut album, In My Own Words, Ne-Yo (nee Shaffer Smith) has been penning hits for himself and a laundry list of artist that include  Marques Houston, Mario, Beyonce, Heather Headley, Usher, Chrisette Michele, and Rihanna.

Last week the eccentric and extremely talented Janelle Monae snuck past experienced songstresses Alicia Keys, Erykah Badu, Mary J. Blige, and Beyonce to the number one spot on Centric’s 20 to 1 Countdown.  Now, the real question is who will be number one this week?

If you root for the new wave of R&B singers, then maybe you should vote for Miguel or Hal Linton, if you prefer hip hop then you should vote for B.o.B. or Drake, and if you want the big dogs to run the show then you should be voting for Toni Braxton, Jaheim, or Sade.
