Lil SoSo Productions staged yet another successful viewing party in Washington, D.C. that brought out the who’s who of area DJs and music lovers. The premiere of Smirnoff Presents: Master of the Mix hit hard last week with launch events coast to coast. From New York to Los Angeles and Chicago to Miami; Hip-Hop lovers, music fanatics, fellow DJs and even vodka enthusiasts packed clubs made MOTM newsworthy fodder.

Smirnoff and LiL SoSo Productions teamed up to bring Washington D.C. the first of a series of Master of the Mix Viewing Parties. Held at LUX Lounge, the event was three levels of celebration and culture. Notables in the house included DJ Furious Styles, DJ KI, DJ Dredd, DJ Anonymous, DJ RBI, DJ Jahsonic (check out his skills in the video below), DJ Book, DJ Stylus, Adrian Loving, Jerome Baker III, local radio talents WKYS’ “Kitty of the City” Jeanie Jones and WPGC’s Aladdin; Grammy Nominated Kyonte and Making the Band’s DeAngelo Redman.

DJ Rap—the self-proclaimed Queen of the Turntables—has been rocking the wheels of steel for more than 15 years. The British bombshell has released 75 mix compilations, rocked numerous clubs and her work has been featured in a series of movies and video games.  

Earlier this year DJ Rap released her ninth album, Synthesis (Ministry of Sound), showcasing her signature style of house and progressive electronic music. Did you think we were done? Rap also owns and operates two labels–Propa and Impropa Talent, is a working model, producer and actress. With a schedule like that, we wonder how she found the time to compete for the Master of the Mix title.
